A plum tie with wide stripes running across the blade. Rather than using contrasting colours, the stripes are created by alternating matte and lustrous finishes in the same tone.
The result is a pattern that only really shows when light hits it, which makes the tie much more subtle than a two-colour stripe while still giving it clear character.
Plum sits well against grey and charcoal. Wear it with a white, light grey or pale pink shirt. It is a good option when you want something more considered than a plain tie but less loud than a contrast stripe.
